Opening Sigtunastiftelsen's winter garden

I worked late Tuesday night, with our debate editor, Aina Liljefors. We went to an event - the opening of Sigtunastiftelsens winter garden. Lots of people from the interior designing and construction branches there. Furnishing company owners, artisans, etcetera. The food was great!

We took a tour of the hotel. It has over 60 rooms, beautifully furnished - and made to look antique. Many authors stay here, I've heard. Below is one of the rooms. See me in the mirror?

Below is my Sigtunabygden-colleague Aina Liljefors, married to the prominent Liljefors family. The huge family has an award-winning designer, academicians, engineers...The family is known for Bruno Liljefors, one of the three most famous artists in Swedish history.
Aina is our newspaper's debate editor. Very sharp woman. She won the swedish version of the tv-quiz show Jeopardy several times. At her age, her memory is much sharper than mine!
Back in 2006, she took a year-long time-out from work - to learn to speak Russian! She is also a talented artist. Amazing woman.
From my experience of talking and mingling with senior residents of Sigtuna - I can say that Aina is a celebrity in Sigtuna. They know her and many want to rub elbows with her. But every time I mention that, she denies it, being the humble person that she is.
We're going to miss her though. She's going on early pension and she's leaving us next month. She has worked for Sigtunabygden for around 20 years.

Lots of food and drink. But we didn't drink alcohol, of course.

The vocal group from Uppsala, Vibafemba, performed acapella.
